Enhanced functionality for groups
The following functionality is now available for DataDear groups:
Xero Tracking Categories data table
Xero Invoice / Credit Note Lines data table
QuickBooks Customers data table
QuickBooks Vendors data table

QuickBooks Classes data table
Additional functionality for groups will continue to be added in the coming months.
Xero - Data Copy
A very popular feature which is used regularly by users who need an offline copy of their data in Xero.
Over the last few months, there was a constant evolution of this feature and we are now happy to remove from Beta! You may now add tokens as required and use the tool without having to contact support.
A data copy is useful for:
Peace of mind - Your company or client want to store a copy of the Xero data offline.
Cancel Subscription - Get a copy of all data when you terminate the subscription with Xero.
Closing off a client - Get all the client data out of Xero including attachments for clients.
Data Retention Policy - Some companies require an offline copy as part of their data retention policy.
Transactions for a year - Choose to download a data copy of all transactions for any required period.
Attachments - Get a copy of all attachments within the Xero organisation (inc receipts entered through OCR tools such as Hubdoc).

Xero Outstanding Reports
These reports have been improved to cater for:
Xero multi-currency companies
DataDear multi-currency group.
Using the detailed report checkbox in the parameters window now shows the outstanding amount in the:
Group default currency
The Aged reports in the Templates Library will be updated shortly to reflect the newly added functionality.
QuickBooks - Trial Balance Multiple Period report
This report now includes the Period as Rows option where periods are displayed as rows instead of columns. This is an important update and allows users to create additional reporting using pivot tables. All three QuickBooks multiple reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance) now include the period as rows option.
Xero - Balance Sheet Multiple Period report - this report has been improved and works across companies and even multi-currency groups.
Email Improvements Some users were experiencing problems with emails never arriving to their mailboxes - an upgrade in this area has addressed this problem.
Various bug fixes and performance improvements.
With this release there have been significant improvements in speed when creating / processing some of the data tables and reports from both Xero and QuickBooks. Since DataDear always gets live data from the accounting software, one needs to consider the time it takes to get the data from the accounting software, process and sent to the Excel.
Nonetheless, this task has been given importance in the last few weeks and another improvement is expected in the January release (more details about work in this area will be communicated in January - stay tuned ).
The upgrade will start on the 15th December 7.00am UTC (18.00 AEDT / 20.00 NZDT / 09.00 CEST / 9.00 SAST / 00.00 PDT) and will take no more than 1 hour during which DataDear will be unavailable. The add-in will update automatically once you open Excel after the release is completed.
