We have been busier that usual during the Summer period :beach_umbrella: - preparing solid foundations for new functionality. In fact, the August release launched the addition of Xero UK Payroll + WorkflowMax and the September release promises some new cool  features:

Data Copy for Xero

New functionality (launching in beta) in the DataDear Dashboard - Download a copy of all the Xero data including:

  • Journals
  • Attachments
  • Static Data

Assets for Xero

If you are using Xero Assets, you will now find the new data tables (launching in beta) in Excel, in the DataDear toolbar.

Xero Payroll

UK Payroll - integration has been improved with new data tables added to the list.
NZ Payroll - released in beta
AU Payroll - released in beta

Improvements

  • Xero Account Transactions report - several minor improvements on performance and functionality.

  • WorkflowMax - A new better integration with several bug fixes and new key provided by Xero. To have your WFM or Practice Manager connected to DataDear, contact Xero Central and ask for your account key for the DataDear add-on for WorkflowMax.

  • Connecting to HMRC requires the VRN number so this is saved and displayed accordingly in the Excel. If you are using HMRC, it is recommended to delete your connected organisation and reconnect using the new approach.

  • The Xero Invoice Lines data table has not been renamed to Invoice/Credit Note Lines and includes both Invoice and Credit Note lines.

  • Fix for Xero Multiple Period P&L report now showing the Net Profit line.

  • Various bug fixes and performance updates.

The new release will start at 7.00am UTC (18.00 AEDT / 20.00 NZDT / 09.00 CEST / 9.00 SAST / 00.00 PDT) and will take no more than 60 minutes during which DataDear may not be available. The add-in will update automatically once you open Excel after the release is completed.
